Graduation
To graduate, a participant must:
1. achieve the goals of the treatment program
2. be in the program for at least one year
3. remain drug free for at least six months
4. pay a $600 CHART participation fee
5. belong to a support group and have a sponsor
6. have received their high school diploma or GED
7. and have suitable, regular employment, or be in vocational school or training.
In the end, instead of being convicted of a crime and spending time in jail or prison, they spend over a year in treatment, rebuild their lives, become tax paying instead of tax using members of society, and have the charges dismissed.
