CASA/VGAL Training
Once accepted in to the program, CASA/VGALs receive special training prior to being assigned to a case. They learn about courtroom procedure, the social service and juvenile court systems, and the special needs of children who have been abused and neglected. Volunteers then receive ongoing training with an emphases on case management and special needs.
It takes about 10 to 15 hours of your time a month to be a CASA/VGAL. It's hard work, but you will find the results are extremely gratifying.
