The Denney Juvenile Justice Center exists to serve the youth of Snohomish County in a variety of venues.
Hours of Operation:
• Denney Juvenile Justice Center: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Prosecutor's office: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - Noon & 1:00 PM - 4:30 PM
• Clerk’s Office: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM - Noon and 12:45 PM - 4:30 PM
• Detention is open 24 hours per day, 365 days of the year
The Juvenile Probation Services department embraces a model of community supervision that focuses on assessing youth and focusing on the use of Evidence Based Practices or Programs. Juvenile Probation Counselors are trained to engage youth and develop motivation to change behaviors in efforts to prevent future criminal activities. The use of Evidence Based Practices help youth make lasting changes that increase public safety and reduce tax payer costs of future incarcerations.
Juvenile Offender Drug Treatment Court operates alongside the Juvenile offender court system. It focuses on youth who are struggling with chemical dependency and abuse issues. While part of the mainstream Probation Department, the Drug Court team emphasizes collaboration with community stakeholders and offers a highly focused approach to community supervision.
At Risk Youth Drug Treatment Court is modeled after the Juvenile Offender Drug Treatment Court program and is designed to serve youth with chemical dependency and abuse issues and who are not currently active with juvenile offender operations.
Juvenile Dependency Court operates to serve families with children (ages 0-18) who have pending allegations of abuse and neglect according to RCW 13.34.030 (6) filed with the Court by Child Protective Services.
Truancy/ARY/CHINs Courts are services offered by the Court to address non-criminal behavior. Truancy court addresses youth who are habitually truant at school. At Risk Youth (ARY) court is intended to assist parents to intervene with their youth who are at risk to getting into trouble with the juvenile justice system. ARY Drug Court is modeled after our Drug Court program and is designed to serve youth with drug problems that are not currently active with Juvenile Offender Services.
The Reclaiming Futures program brings the community together to offer additional services to youth in the juvenile justice system.
Our Detention Services professionals provide youth with a safe environment to serve secure confinement imposed for illegal activity or non-compliance with court ordered expectations.
