Judge Larry McKeeman began his service as a Superior Court Judge on May 1, 1991. He was honored with the 2008 Outstanding Judge Award from the Washington State Bar Association. He was awarded the honor of Snohomish County Judge of the Year in 1995.

He has served three terms as the Court’s elected Presiding Judge. He served as Presiding Judge from 1994 through 1997 and 2008 through 2009.

Judge McKeeman is a 1976 graduate of the University Of Washington School Of Law.

He serves on the State Superior Court Judges Association Board of Trustees, and the Bench-Bar-Press Committee of Washington. He has previously served on many statewide groups, including the Board for Judicial Administration and the Pattern Jury Instruction Committee.

Judge McKeeman initiated the At Risk Youth Drug Treatment Court, a program not found in any other court in the state. He presided over that court from its inception in 2001 to 2006. Judge McKeeman has been married for over 30 years. His wife and he have two adult children.
