Carpenter Creek Bridge #448
Project Description
Carpenter Creek Bridge is located on Sanders Road, approximately 2-1/4 miles beyond the east end of OK Mill Road between Lake Stevens and Lake Roesiger. It is a single-lane wood bridge built in 1984, and was added to the replacement list after an inspection in late 2008 revealed structural deficiencies.
The project will replace bridge rails, deck and supporting structure. When finished, the new bridge will be a single-lane structure similar to the current bridge. A temporary bridge will be in place to provide access to area homes while the new bridge is being built.
Construction will begin in mid- June 2009 and will continue for approximately three weeks.
