Project Description
The roadway currently has two travel lanes and intermittent sidewalks. The project design calls for widening of the roadway to add a center turn lane, as well as bike lanes, curbs, gutters and sidewalks along both sides of the roadway. Planting strips are also part of the design at several locations. Stormwater detention and water quality treatment systms will be constructed, as well as retaining walls where appropriate adjacent to wetland areas.
During 2009 the necessary right-of-way was purchased and utility poles were moved. The County is actively seeking grants and other sources of funding for construction.
