Project Description

Snohomish County's 6-Year Transportation Improvement Plan (TIP) identifies several projects to improve conditions for pedestrians and motorists along the 180th Street SE corridor. One of these is a project along 180th Street SE beginning at the Bothell-Everett Highway (SR 527) intersection. The County is proposing to add two lanes to bring 180th Street SE up to five-lanes between SR527 and 23rd Place SE (Phase I on the map below). Currently there are three lanes and gaps in the sidewalk. This project will also add sidewalks, curbing and gutters.

A public open house will be scheduled sometime during 2012 to give area residents an opportunity to review draft plans and speak with project staff. The purchase of right-of-way is planned to take place during 2012. Construction is tentatively scheduled for 2013 to 2014.

Phase II between 23rd Place SE and 35th Avenue SE is under consideration and has not yet been scheduled.
