Environmental Review of Snohomish County Public Works Maintenance Programs
Snohomish County Public Works maintains roads, bridges and stormwater drainage facilities throughout the county. Maintenance of this infrastructure also includes occasional modification or removal of beaver dams. Each maintenance program has been reviewed for environmental impacts as required by the State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) and documented in an Environmental Checklist. Public Works utilized the optional programmatic approach pursuant to WAC 197-11-060(3)(c) and has identified actions which have relevant similarities such as common impacts, code requirements and mitigation, methods of implementation and subject matter. These Checklists cover maintenance and repair projects that will occur between 2011 and 2015.
