Organizing Your Clean-up

Group leaders must attend a safety-training orientation before scheduling any clean-up events. All volunteers need to review the safety video before participating in clean-up events.

  1. Select your preferred date.

  2. Call (425) 388-3137, or (425)388-6438 or e-mail at least one week in advance to check the availability of your preferred date and reserve a Safety/Clean-up Kit. Kits are "prepackaged" for groups of two, five or ten.

  3. Pick up the Safety/Clean-up Kit from the Cathcart Way Operations Center between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Administration Building (A), 2nd floor Reception Desk
    8915 Cathcart Way

  4. Review the Adopt-A-Road Safety Guidelines and Pre-Cleanup Checklist with your volunteers before beginning clean-up activities.

  5. Have all participants age 18 or older sign a Registration Form before participating in the program. Participants under the age of 18 must have a completed Parent/Guardian Informed Consent Form before participating in the program.

  6. Complete the Participant Roster.  (Print the Participant Roster, write in information and mail/fax it to us, or use the online form, type in information and submit the form electronically - please use Acrobat Reader 9, free download)

  7. Return the Safety/Clean-up Kit in good condition within two business days of your clean-up.

  8. Mail the Participant Roster, Registration Forms, and Parent/Guardian Informed Consent Forms to:
