Communications
The Communications Section staff is comprised of public involvement and graphic specialists. Staff helps plan and implement the public involvement/communications aspects of projects for Public Works and other County departments. The group is part of the Transportation & Environmental Services Division.
The Communications Section works to ensure an accurate and effective flow of information between Snohomish County government and its citizens. One of the group’s primary responsibilities is to provide public involvement opportunities for Public Works projects. Depending on the nature of the project, activities may include conducting open houses, informational meetings, workshops or public comment sessions. The group also contracts with other County departments to provide a variety of communications services from facilitating a single stakeholder meeting to developing complete public involvement plans.
