Paint

Retailer or manufacturer paint take back programs are not operating in the County at this time.

Snohomish County is coordinating with the Product Stewardship Institute and paint retailers and manufacturers to work toward a regional and national system to better address paint recycling.

Small amounts of latex paint can be dried out and then disposed in the garbage.  Empty paint cans should be disposed with regular garbage. Residents should take oil based products to the County's Hazardous Waste Drop Off Station. Paint should be transported in sealed, non-leaking containers.

Qualified businesses may use the facility by appointment only and for a fee.  Call 425-388-6050 for more information.
