   E-Cycle Program Participants

  • Locations in Snohomish County (No electronics accepted at County Recycling & Transfer Stations effective June 28, 2009)
  • Locations Outside Snohomish County and Program Details
  • Effective January 1, 2009 select locations are participating in a new E-Cycle Program and are accepting limited quantities (typically 3 units per customer per visit) of televisions, computers, monitors and laptops from residents, small businesses, schools and charities at no charge. If you qualify and have larger quantities, call 1-866-779-6632.

This permanent, on-going E-Cycle program is paid for by electronic manufacturers. Please call first to learn of any restrictions or recommendations on when to arrive. Please be patient as this new program gets started—if collection locations are full and cannot temporarily accept more equipment, you may be asked to return at another time. E-Waste LLC near Everett anticipates no capacity issues and will accept up to 9 units per customer per day.

If you need a pick up service for large TV's or due to inability to transport to a collection site, reduced rates are available from some collectors participating in the E-cycle program. One option is Truck on Call, 425 488-6772, or www.greentvrecycling.com

Choose to Reuse! Working computer equipment can often be reused! This is even better for the environment and provides many social benefits. Reused computers help close the "digital divide" by making equipment available at lower cost or free to those with lower incomes, youth, non-profit organizations and aide programs. A number of E-Cycle Washington and Take-it-Back network collectors are engaged in legitimate computer reuse activities. An especially unique non-profit reuse organization is InterConnection (206 633-1517). Please consider reuse before recycling.

To protect your personal data from any possible misuse, be sure to clear your computer/laptop hard drive before you recycle it or pass it on to others for re-use. Free software is available for erasing hard drives.
