Our Current Comprehensive Plan
Snohomish County Solid Waste Mission Statement is, "to protect people, the environment, and natural resources by preventing, reducing, and solving problems associated with Snohomish county solid and moderate risk waste." To provide guidelines to accomplish this, Snohomish County has an adopted Comprehensive Plan to help protect and preserve human health, environmental quality, and natural resources by guiding solid and moderate risk waste efforts and decisions in the county. This plan was adopted as both a Six-Year Plan and a Twenty-Year Plan with missions and goals for solid waste management within the county.
As part of the Comprehensive Plan, the Solid Waste Advisory Committee (SWAC) is a committee that provides policy recommendations to Snohomish county on solid waste and resource recovery efforts. Please see our SWAC page for more information.
The current Comprehensive Plan is a very large document and is broken into sections to ease downloading the document. Please choose an individual link, but note, the documents should be construed as a complete document.
