WAC 173-350-100 Click this link for definition of Conditionally Exempt Small Quantity Generator
State and Federal law requires businesses to properly manage and dispose of chemical waste. Business hazardous wastes include items such as dyes, paints, inks, thinners, sludges, solvents, pesticides, chemicals, acids, and caustics, to name a few. If your business accumulates small amounts, or needs one-time disposal of these items you may want to use the MRW facility. However, to do so, you MUST make an appointment, and there is a FEE involved. The MRW can accept certain types of business waste, so please call to see if your hazardous waste is an accepted item.
We CANNOT accept:
Explosives- contact your local police department for handling instructions
Medical waste from businesses-contact MRW for disposal options
Non-hazardous business materials
Radioactive waste- contact MRW for disposal options
- How do I schedule a time? What will I be charged?
The MRW facility is open to businesses by appointment only. A fee is charged for the service. For an appointment and an estimate of disposal costs, call (425) 388-6050. Business appointments are Wed-Fri 7:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Please have your Materials Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) ready to identify the class of hazardous waste you are disposing of.
Ask how to package and label wastes for disposal.
