Vehicle Restrictions at Snohomish County Solid Waste facilities
Please call (425) 388-3425 Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, to give advance notice if you are bringing a restricted size load. Boats, (where allowed) have special handling requirements; inquire when calling.
Airport Road Recycling & Transfer Station (ARTS)
Restricted
The following vehicles are not permitted before 4 PM Monday-Friday and before 1 PM Saturday
- Trailers longer than 18' with full size pickup requiring manual unloading
- Cargo vans longer the 26' requiring manual unloading
The following vehicles require 6 hr advance notice and are not allowed before 4 PM Monday-Friday
- Non hydraulic semi-trailers 30'-53' in length (Cargo vans)
- All boats on trailers
Prohibited
- Top loaded/open top containers on rolling chassis
- Vehicles with containers that do no have a hydraulic dump system longer than 25'
- Vehicles with containers requiring to be top picked off the chassis
All hydraulic dump style vehicles are allowed.
Southwest Recycling & Transfer Station (SWRTS)
Restricted
The following vehicles require 6 hr advance notice
Prohibited
- Top loaded/open top containers on rolling chassis
- Vehicles with containers that do no have a hydraulic dump system longer than 25'
- Vehicles with containers requiring to be top picked off the chassis
All hydraulic dump style vehicles are allowed.
North County Recycling & Transfer Station (NCRTS)
Restricted
The following vehicles require 24 hr advance notice
- Semi-trailers with or without walking floors
Prohibited
- Side dumps
- Dump trucks with pups still attached
- End dumps over 30'
- Non hydraulic semi-trailers 30'-53' in length (Cargo vans)
- All boats on trailers
- Top loaded/open top containers on rolling chassis
- Vehicles with containers that do no have a hydraulic dump system longer than 25'
- Vehicles with containers requiring to be top picked off the chassis
Neighborhood Recycling & Disposal Centers (NRDC): Dubuque (Lake Roesiger), Granite Falls, Sultan
NRDC loads are restricted to a maximum of 5 cubic yards.
