Water Quality Information
Summary
Very little information on water quality exists for Hilton Lake. The northern lake appears to have elevated levels of nutrients and relatively low water clarity. The southern lake, which is deeper, has lower levels of nutrients and slightly higher water clarity. In general, the two lake basins support dense growths of aquatic plants and experience regular algal blooms.
Reports
Water quality information was collected for Hilton Lake in 1998, 2006, and 2007. Because of the limited data, there is no comprehensive report summarizing the conditions in the lake. However, the 2003 Snohomish County State of the Lakes Report does provide a general overview of the state of Snohomish County Lakes.
