Allen/Quilceda Watershed Action (AQWA) Team
The AQWA Team is a group of local government staff and citizens working together to implement the Quilceda/Allen Watershed Management Plan and to improve the overall health of both Quilceda and Allen Creeks through positive actions for the environment.

Earth Day Celebration flyer
The Allen/Quilceda Watershed Action Team invites you and the whole family to come be a part of the celebration and learn about what makes a healthy watershed! The first 200 participants get a free Earth Day 2011 t-shirt to stamp as they explore the many booths. For a truly hands-on experience, instructors will be there to guide volunteers in a real life restoration project on Allen Creek where you can help spread mulch, remove invasive plants, and even plant a native tree or shrub! This event is free for all ages but registration is encouraged for groups and those that want to participate in the restoration project.

Highlights of the AQWA Team's Work
Creation of a permanent outdoor environmental learning center along Jones Creek, a tributary of Lower Allen Creek. This project is a partnership between the AQWA Team, Marysville School District and the Allen Creek Elementary School.
The AQWA Team purchased water quality monitoring kits to loan out to watershed teachers. (Marysville)
Distribution of Low Impact Development educational exhibits to the planning/permit departments of all the jurisdictions. (SWM)

Meeting Dates and Times
The team meetings are open to the public and are held the first Tuesday of every other month at the Marysville Public Works office at 80 Columbia Avenue from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Contact the Chair (below) to confirm date and time before attending as meeting time occasionally varies.
