Salmon Recovery Funding Board

What is the Salmon Recovery Funding Board?

Created in 1999, the Salmon Recovery Funding Board disperses grant funding for salmon recovery projects throughout the State of Washington. Since 2000, the Board has spent over $230 million on projects that improve fish passage, instream and riparian habitats.

As the lead and co-lead for salmon recovery in the Snohomish and Stillaguamish Watersheds respectively, Snohomish County works with sponsors on developing their grant proposals and facilitates the technical and citizen scoring processes. The scored list of projects is forwarded to the Salmon Recovery Funding Board for final technical review and approval, based on available funding.
