Snohomish Basin Policy Development Committee
The Policy Development Committee is comprised primarily of planning and policy experts who are staff to Forum members or Forum members with special expertise or perspective (i.e., environment, agriculture, Master Builders, water association). The Forum chair and/or Vice-chair and Technical Committee Co-chairs are also members of the committee. Some Technical Committee members are encouraged to attend meetings to provide coordination and scientific input as needed.
The Role of the Policy Development Committee (PDC)
The role of the Policy Development Committee is to identify, develop, and analyze policy options and implications, as well as make policy recommendations to the Forum. This committee can assist the Forum in evaluating data gathered for the implementation and the socio-economic aspects of monitoring; helping develop and recommend plan adjustment options for Forum consideration; developing and evaluating a plan implementation schedule; giving guidance on funding, public outreach and involvement, and other relevant policy topics identified by the Forum.
PDC Members
Members are Snohomish County, King County, The Tulalip Tribes, City of Everett, City of Seattle, East King County Regional Water Association, Port of Everett, Forum Chair or Vice-chair, Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, Master Builders Association, Snoqualmie Watershed Forum staff, Forum member representing conservation interests (i.e., Stilly-Snohomish Fisheries Enhancement Task Force), Forum member representing agriculture, and one or both co-chairs of the Snohomish Basin Salmonid Recovery Technical Committee.
