People lucky enough to live along streams have a little bit of nature in their own backyards. The sound of the water, the beauty of nature’s bounty, and maybe even the thrill of watching salmon spawn are things most people never experience.

You are also the steward for some of our most important public resources: clean and safe water, abundant salmon, wildlife habitat, drainage, flood control, and erosion control.

By caring for the streams and rivers that make this area so special, you can leave a lasting legacy for future generations.

Landowner Guides to Streamside Living is a combination of workshops, web, print materials, and personal assistance to help streamside landowners in their efforts to improve water quality and aquatic habitat, and reduce downstream impacts such as flooding, erosion, and pollution.
