Starlight Beach Walks for 2010
Join WSU Beach Watchers, Ranger Naturalists from Edmonds Discovery Programs, People for Puget Sound, and members of the Snohomish County Marine Resources Committee, on the beach for one or all these evening intertidal adventures. During these nightime low tides you’ll have a chance to see many amazing creatures including sea stars, anemones, urchins, snails, crabs, and much more! Many marine animals are active only at night, and some are much more colorful than during the day, so don't miss this opportunity! Everyone is welcome to these FREE "open house" style events, no RSVP or registration needed.
(A note about the times and dates: we realize that the Mukilteo and Edmonds events are on school nights but the sun and moon dictate the timing of the high and low tides. In 2010, the weekend low tides are really late, or in some cases, after midnight - and we didn't think those hours would work very well!)
