A Landowner's Guide to How Streams Work

If you've ever wondered…

What's living in my creek?

Is the water safe?

How does it all work?

Why does my stream look funny?

How can I leave healthy streams for my children and grandchildren?

…then this workshop is for you!

Each workshop provides landowners with a general understanding of stream ecology, water quality, stream plants and animals, how streams move and change, floods, the law, permits, how to work in and around streams without harming water quality and wildlife, when to call a professional, and how to get help.

Each workshop begins in a classroom and end with a trip to a nearby salmon stream.

Whether you have a project in mind or you just want to expand your knowledge, these workshops are a great way to get your questions answered in an informal, unintimidating setting.

Schedule

This workshop is available to any homeowners association and to groups of ten or more streamside property owners at no charge. Contact Surface Water Management to arrange time and location.
