What is Snohomish County doing to save energy/gas and keep the environment clean?
Snohomish County is purchasing fuel efficient vehicles from Washington State Office of Procurement contracts to include hybrid vehicles and alternative fuel vehicles. We have received grants to retrofit diesel engines to reduce diesel emissions, and are using biodiesel and low sulfur diesel fuel to reduce diesel emissions and reduce our reliance on crude oil. Our remodeled fleet maintenance facilities provide better spill protection and improved maintenance capabilities.
