Bridge Design and Condition Inspection
This Engineering Services group is a full-service bridge design team. The team designs new bridges, bridge repairs and replacement bridges, and administers contracts for bridge design.
Staff performs annual inspections of more than 200 county bridges and provides results to state and federal agencies. Inspection data is used in scheduling bridge repair/replacement projects and in determining bridge clearances and load limits.
Staff responds directly to the public and other agencies with data on clearances, load limits, design/construction schedules, complaints and public meetings on proposed designs.
