Machias Trailhead Park

Trail users are invited to visit the trailhead and rest stop in the town of Machias.This facility is a replica of a railroad depot built in the late 1890s. The depot once served a rail line which today is the Centennial Trail. (View Historic Photos)


The Machias Trailhead depot facility is available for rent as a picnic shelter.  Power, water and picnic tables are available.  A small room with sink and two tables with can be rented with the depot shelter.  
 
Across the trail from the depot is a large picnic shelter and children's playground nestled under towering trees. Water and picnic tables are available.

Please note, water balloon and sidewalk chalk activities are prohibitted.

Driving Directions:

Snohomish:  Snohomish-Wenatchee exit off I-5 onto US2 in Everett. Travel east toward Snohomish for approximately 8 miles. Take the 88th St SE exit off US2 to Snohomish. At the first traffic light, turn right onto Pine Street; follow Pine to  Maple Street which leads to Machias Road.  Continue on Machias Road past the Pilchuck Trailhead to a yield sign (approximately 6 miles). Veer to right and follow Machias Road to fire station (on left).  Turn left onto Division Street for 2 blocks.  Turn left.  Trailhead is on the right.
