Building Inspection Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if I live in unincorporated Snohomish County?
To determine which jurisdiction you live in, go to the Assessor web page and follow these instructions:
- Enter the tax account number or house number (using the asterick * as a wildcard as instructed) and choose the “Submit” button
- If you search by house number several listings may appear. Choose your property by clicking on the Parcel Number
- Look under "General Information" and check the "Tax Code Area". If the second digit of the number is greater than 0, the parcel is in unincorporated Snohohmish County. If it is zero, then the parcel is in the city limits and the city should be contacted for inspection information.
