Proposed 2012 Awards
Snohomish County Affordable Housing Trust Fund (AHTF)
Snohomish County announces proposed 2012 funding awards under the Snohomish County Affordable Housing Trust Fund (AHTF) for public review and comment.
Snohomish County, in consortium with 19 cities and towns within the County, has established the AHTF program. Funding for the program comes from a $10 surcharge on certain real estate transactions within the County.
The funds may be used to support affordable housing projects which benefit low-income households and to provide operating and maintenance costs for emergency shelters and low-income rental housing projects.
A total of $732,609 in AHTF funds is available for 2012. The proposed 2012 project allocations total $664,135. This includes: one (1) housing capital project, operating and maintenance costs for seven (7) emergency shelters and six (6) low-income rental housing projects, and a set-aside for City of Everett affordable housing projects.
For additional project information, view a list of the Proposed 2012 AHTF Awards in PDF (65 kb).
The remaining balance of $68,474 will be made available in next year's funding round for 2013 projects.
