  •  Youth Outpatient Mental Health Funding
    The Snohomish County Human Services Department is requesting proposals to provide mental health services to youth (under 18 years old) in Snohomish County who are low-income and do not have access to treatment through Medicaid or private insurance.  For additional information about the RFP, applicant conference, application deadline, and contact information, please view the RFP Packet in PDF (197 kb).   • Take the Dignity & Respect Pledge!
    The North Sound Mental Health Community has initiated a Dignity and Respect Campaign to promote the belief that all people in our community are deserving of dignity and respect. About the Program

The Community Mental Health Program provides for residential placement, community support, and crisis response services to persons with mental illness of all ages who meet the statutory definition of "acute," "chronic" or "seriously disturbed." The program:

  • Contracts for community services
  • Monitors services
  • Plans for and develops new programs
  • Conducts general troubleshooting, and
  • Provides the following direct services:
    • Screening and authorization of residential placements
    • Discharge planning for patients of hospitals and treatment centers
    • Advocacy for clients
    • Problem-solving with clients
    • Planning for and coordination of services for difficult-to-serve individuals
    • Mediation of consumer/customer complaints

Last year the program authorized over 5,000 assessments and developed individualized plans to help persons who had been hospitalized for a mental illness make a successful transition back to living in the community.
