Snohomish County payroll is processed at both the individual department level and by central payroll staff. Depending on the questions you have or the payroll information you need, the first line of contact is your department payroll liaison.
Paydays occur on the 7th and 22nd of each month. Hours from the 1st through the 15th of the month are paid on the 22nd and hours from the 16th through the end of the month are paid on the 7th of the following month. If payday falls on a weekend, employees are paid the Friday before. If pay day falls on a Monday holiday, payday occurs on the Tuesday following the holiday.

Every department has their own distinct timecard. Some are daily, some are weekly. If you have questions about your timecard, talk to your supervisor or department payroll liaison.
Direct Deposit is available for most banking institutions. Currently we offer direct deposit to only one bank account with the following exception. If you have a savings account at SnoCope Federal Credit Union, you can have a fixed dollar amount of your net pay deposited to your SNOCOPE account and your remaining net pay deposited to your primary bank account. Once you submit your direct deposit form, it may take up to 30 days to be activated.
Effective September 18, 2009, per requirements of the NACHA Operating Rules, if you receive your payroll via direct deposit to a bank within the United States and then have the entire payroll amount forwarded to a bank in another country, please advise the Payroll Section of the Department of Finance.
Please turn your completed form in to your department payroll liaison or to the central Payroll Division, M/S 610. When you separate from the County, your final paycheck will be processed as a check and not sent to your banking institution as a direct deposit.
Note: Direct deposit participation is not mandatory at Snohomish County; however, in the event of certain types of disasters there is a possibility we may only be able to most timely pay employees who receive their pay electronically. Court Ordered Payments
The Snohomish County Payroll Division is legally responsible for the collection of all court ordered payments such as garnishments, child support payments, bankruptcy, IRS levies and creditor garnishments. If you see a deduction on your pay stub labeled Assign Pay EE, please contact the central Payroll Division for more information.
