About the Finance Department

The department is organized into three primary divisions: budget, accounting and risk management. Some of the major tasks the department is responsible for include: preparation of annual operating and capital budgets, preparation of financial reports, economic analysis of annexations and incorporations, financing economic development initiatives, county debt management and bonding, purchasing goods and services for all departments, securing insurance coverages, and processing claims and losses.
