Boeing 787 Dreamliner Update
Snohomish County has played a key role in the 7E7 team. The County’s efforts have been coordinated from the County Executive’s Office and include significant efforts by the Snohomish County Airport – Paine Field, as well as contributions from other County Departments (Finance, Public Works, and Planning and Development Services). The County was a signatory to the Boeing 7E7 agreements along with the State of Washington, City of Everett and Port of Everett.
Currently, the County is working with Boeing and the State 7E7 Coordinator’s Office on such matters as: the Large Cargo Freighter, location of the Education Resource Center, new Future of Flight Aviation Center and Boeing Tour and other land use and finance matters. The County is also assisting the Port of Everett in building a rail barge facility, providing deep water access directly to the aerospace manufacturing center at Paine Field and Southwest Everett.
