Mitigation

Snohomish County's On-going Commitment to Hazard Mitigation

In compliance with the Stafford Act, Disaster Mitigation Act of 2000, and 44 CFR 201, Snohomish County and 34 Planning Partners maintain a Hazard Mitigation Plan, which was updated in 2010. Learn more about the plan. Snohomish County regularly participates in FEMA's mitigation programs, both pre- and post-disaster. These inlude:

• Pre-Disaster Mitigation (PDM)
• Flood Mitigation Assistance (FMA)
• Repetitive Flood Claims (RFC)
• Severe Repetitive Loss (SRL)
• Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP)
