My goals during my tenure in office are to focus on quality land use legislation while promoting economic development, and in thes e times of declining revenues, to continue to provide needed services efficiently.

28 January 2009 Urban Residential Design Standards The Snohomish County Council on Wednesday took action to adopt groundbreaking regulations that will improve the design and appearance of developments in many urban areas within the county.
8 December 2008 Martha Lake Airport Community Park Construction Bid Awarded The Snohomish County Council has awarded the $3 million bid for the construction of Martha Lake Airport Community Park, 146th St, W, Lynnwood.
4 Sept. 2008 Large Turnout at First County Council Budget Forum Advocates for Public Health and Mental Health Funding The Snohomish County Council has gone on the road to introduce local residents to the process of producing the county’s budget, to highlight the serious problems facing county finances, and to ask the public for their funding priorities as the county deals with declining revenues and increasing demands for services.
8 August 2008 Snohomish County and Wal-Mart Launch Expanded Effort to Save Energy with Efficient Light Bulbs Snohomish County, in cooperation with Wal-Mart Stores, has launched an expanded program to encourage the use of compact energy and cost-efficient fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs). Wal-Mart Stores recently donated 4,000 CFLs to the county, allowing many more low income residents to receive these efficient light bulbs.
30 April 2008 County Council Declares Support for Aerospace Machinists and Workers The Snohomish County Council joined the growing chorus of community leaders expressing their outrage over the U.S. military’s awarding of a vital U.S. Air Force air refueling tanker contract to the European-based Airbus consortium.

Feb. 29, 2008 Governor Appoints Dave Gossett to Affordable House Board Governor Christine Gregoire has appointed Snohomish County Councilmember Dave Gossett to the state Affordable Housing Advisory Board. The Board serves as the principal advisory board to the Governor on housing and housing related issues.
Feb. 6, 2008 Marilyn “Mimi” Walsh Terwilliger Appointed to County Planning Commission The Snohomish County council has approved the appointment of Marilyn “Mimi” Walsh Terwilliger to the county Planning Commission. Walsh will represent fourth county council district. She is a resident of Brier and was nominated by County Councilmember Dave Gossett.
Feb. 6, 2008 County buy 9 acres for new 'Brightwater' park Tapping mitigation funds from the Brightwater wastewater treatment plant, the Snohomish County Council has approved a purchase and sale agreement for almost nine acres for a future community park at the southeast corner of 228th St. SE and 45th Ave. SE, about half a mile west of the plant site.
