Council Provides Direction on 2010 County Budget
The Snohomish County Council unanimously adopted motion 09-293 on Monday July 6, formally giving guidance to Executive Aaron Reardon on its priorities for the 2010 budget. The Council identified an over-arching theme of "Strengthening Our Economy and Preserving Essential County Services" for 2010. See more.

Council Completes Plan for County Energy Efficiency Block Grants
Snohomish County is putting the final touches on a list of energy efficiency projects that will create jobs in the county and reduce fossil fuel emissions.  Funding for the projects will come from a $4.8 million Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant received from the Department of Energy as part of the federal American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
