Career Opportunity: Control Room Officer
The Control Room Officers (CRO's) at Snohomish County Corrections provide essential security functions within the jail facility. They monitor a number of devices including cameras, radios, and intercoms. They also control the movement of staff and inmates throughout the facility. The Central Control Room (CCR) is essentially the "heart" of the jail facility. The controls for all the doors are located in CCR as well as all of the communication systems. In addition to CCR, Control Room Officers also operate a local control room located in the Maximum Security housing unit.
The successful Control Room Officer will have excellant communication skills and be able to relay important information clearly and succinctly. They will be able to make sound decisions and maintain their composure in stressful situations. All CRO's must pass an extensive background investigation including a polygraph.
