Career Opportunity: Booking Assistant

Booking Assistants provide a valuable service to Snohomish County Corrections.  They are responsible for performing data input into the computerized jail management system during the booking process.  They greet law enforcement officers from the agencies that utilize the services of the jail.  They also inventory and store inmate personal property in the Property Room.

Attention to detail is an essential skill for the successful Booking Assistant.  They must be able to identify errors in paperwork submitted by others.  Their work helps to insure that inmates are not released incorrectly. that the proper paperwork is submitted to the court and that the department has all the necessary documentation to legally detain a person.

If your idea of an interesting job is working in an environment where you get to interact with a wide variety of people, work within the criminal justice system, and perform duties that are essential to the smooth operation of the facility then the job of Booking Assistant may be for you.  All candidates must pass a thorough background investigation including a polygraph.
