Q) How far back is data available online?
A) Data for New Case Reports is available on this site from March 2005 forward and data for the Judgment Audit Reports is available on this site from January 2005 forward.
Q) What data is returned for each report?
A) The Daily New Case Report reflects all cases entered into the Clerks Superior Court Information Management System (SCOMIS) on the date selected for the report. This is not always the date the case was filed. Case filed dates are contained within the individual data lines for each case.
The Judgments Added Report reflects all new judgments entered into the Clerks Superior Court Information Management System (SCOMIS) on the date selected for the report. This is not always the date the new judgment was filed. Judgment filed dates are contained within the individual data lines for each judgment.
The Judgments Changed Report reflects all judgments changed within the Clerks Superior Court Information Management System (SCOMIS) on the date selected for the report. This is not always the date the document which initiated the change was filed. Filed dates for documents that change a judgment are contained within the individual data lines for each judgment.
Q) How can I see more information related to the new cases and judgments listed in these reports?
A) While court documents are not currently available online index data can be viewed at www.courts.wa.gov within the “Search Case Records” section. Use the new case number or the judgment number provided in our reports to see Case or Judgment dockets.
