1. Where is the Office of the Clerk of the Superior Court (County Clerk) and what hours is it open?
The Office of the Clerk of the Superior Court is located in Room M206 in the County Courthouse at 3000 Rockefeller Ave, Everett, WA 98201 and a satellite office is located at the Denney Juvenile Justice Center, 2801 10th Street, Everett, WA, 98201. Both offices are open to the public from 8:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Monday through Friday, except legal holidays.
2. What does it cost to file a law suit in the Superior Court?
The filing fees for Superior Court matters are established by the Revised Code of Washington (RCW) and vary based on the type of case being filed. For a listing of filing fees refer to the Fee Schedule
3. What is the date, time and/or place of my court hearing?
Information regarding hearings in Superior Court is available from the Office of the Clerk of the Superior Court and can be obtained by calling (425)388-3466, or by using one of the four (4) public access terminals located in our main lobby.
4. How and where do I set a court date?
A court date for a Superior Court Case may be set by filing a Calendar Note with the Clerk of the Superior Court. Calendar Notes are a county specific form and you should be sure to use the Snohomish County form to ensure that you are scheduled on the proper calendar. For more information call 425-388-3466.
To schedule a dependency hearing, contact the dependency clerk at 425-388-7981. Hearings are set for Mondays and Wednesdays at 2:00 p.m. (limited to three families) and 3:00 p.m. (limited to four families); after obtaining a hearing date, it is the responsibility of the moving party to file a calendar note and any supporting motion(s) and/or affidavit(s). No confirmation is needed; the filing of the calendar note confirms the scheduled date.
To continue or strike a date for a dependency hearing, contact the dependency clerk at 425-388-7981 at least two days prior to the hearing.
5. Where do I file court documents?
Documents for Superior Court cases may be filed in person in the Office of the Clerk of the Superior Court or by mailing them to the address listed above in A.1.
6. Where do I get a Domestic Violence protection order or Anti-Harassment order?
Petitions for Domestic Violence orders may be obtained, and assistance in properly completing them, in Room C-125 in the County Courthouse.

7. How much are copies and how do I get them?
Copies of documents filed in Superior Court cases may be obtained from the Clerk of the Superior Court. Certified copies Cost $5.00 for the first page of the document and $1.00 for each additional page. If requesting copies by mail, be sure to include the appropriate fee in the form of a cashiers check or money order as well as a self addressed and stamped envelope. You may also make your own copies in the main lobby of the Clerk's Office at a cost of $.25 per page. There is no charge for copies of Domestic Violence Protection Orders.
8. How do I get a criminal conviction expunged (removed) from my records?
Forms are available in the Snohomish County Law Library that may be used to file a petition with the Superior Court, in the Office of the Clerk of the Superior Court, to expunge a criminal conviction.
1. Where do I get dissolution papers?
Washington Pattern Forms are available in the Snohomish County Law Library on the first floor of the Courthouse Building. Dissolution packets with forms and instructions are also available from the Clerk's Office. Packet prices range from no charge to $35.00. The Clerk's Office accepts cash, money orders, cashiers check, and debit or credit cards only.
2. Is my dissolution final and how can I get a copy?
Information regarding the status of a dissolution is available at the Office of the Clerk of the Superior Court and can be obtained in person or over the phone by calling (425)388-3466. Copies may be obtained as indicated above in A.7.
1. Where can I pay child support?
Child support can only be paid through the Clerk of the Superior Court if there is a court order directing such payments. Those payments can be made in Room M206 of the County Courthouse Building. Support ordered to be paid through the Washington State Central Support Registry (WSSR) may be paid either directly to WSSR at P.O. Box 9009, Olympia, WA 98507-9009 or through the local Division of Child Support Office.
2. Where can I get Child support schedule worksheets?
Worksheets and instructions may be obtained from either the Family Law Facilitators Office in Room C-125 or the Snohomish County Law Library both of which are located on the first floor of the County Courthouse Building.
3. How do I modify child support?
Modifications of child support require that a Petition to Modify Child Support, with a filing fee, be filed with Superior Court and a court hearing be set to hear the petition. The worksheets and instructions required may be obtained from the Superior Court Clerk's Office in forms packets. The Clerk's Office accepts cash, money orders, cashiers check and debit or credit cards only.
1. Can you give me any legal advice?
Clerk's staff are precluded by law from providing any type of legal advice or guidance. Information regarding domestic proceedings is available, by appointment only, from the Family Law Facilitators in Room C-125 of the County Courthouse.
2. Do you have legal forms?
A number of legal forms are available in the Snohomish County Law Library on the First Floor of the County Courthouse. Forms packets are available from the Clerk's Office and from most office and legal supply stores, and legal messenger services.
3. Can you tell me the status of or what happened in a case?
The status of most Superior Court cases is public information, unless the matter has been sealed by court order or is a confidential matter such as adoptions, and is available for review in the Office of the Clerk of the Superior Court. This information is not available over the telephone.
4. Can you tell me if a person has any cases filed against them, or me?
Information regarding Superior Court Cases filed against or by any individual is available for review in the Office of the Clerk of the Superior Court. Limited information is available by phone by calling (425)388-3466.
5. Can you help me fill out my papers?
Clerk's staff can only provide assistance in properly preparing petitions for Domestic Violence protections orders and reviewing domestic relations forms for completeness and compliance with court rules and statutes.
6. Can you recommend an attorney who will take my case?
The Clerk's staff may not recommend attorneys. The Snohomish County Bar Association has a Lawyer Referral Service through which you may get names and addresses of attorneys. Their office is located in the Snohomish County Courthouse on the second floor. Their office hours are 8:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. and telephone number is (425)388-3018.
