Parks and Recreation works to meet and exceed our community’s expectations by:
- Stressing responsive customer service, responding to inquiries efficiently, and recognizing the changing needs of the greater community
- Managing cost-effective programming, facility development and maintenance in a time of limited financial resources
- Responding to the demands of county population growth through the acquisition and development of additional facilities that address the growing and changing recreational needs of Snohomish County residents
- Provide quality, safe, and secure park experiences through excellent park maintenance procedures and responsible security programming
- Managing the county’s fairgrounds facility to its maximum potential in a cost-effective manner, including marketing and operating the first-class, 12-day Evergreen State Fair
- Providing quality educational programming to serve the needs of the agricultural community, youth and diverse families
