November 5, 2009
Tulalip Resort & Conf. Center

10200 Quil Ceda Blvd.
Tulalip, WA 98271

The sixth annual Focus on Farming Conference was held November 5, 2009 at the Tulalip Resort & Conference Center in Tulalip, with a free Agriculture Land Use and Policy Summit preceding it on November 4.

The conference featured a day full of nationally known experts addressing leading agricultural topics. Attendees were enlightened by speakers like Cowboy Poet Baxter Black, author Mas Masumoto and former Secretary of Agriculture for New Jersey Charles Kuperus. Workshop sessions provided information that will help farm businesses succeed. There was also a tradeshow with exhibitors showing some of the most innovative agricultural products and techniques.

It was an outstanding day of learning, networking and enjoying farm fresh local products prepared by regional gourmet chefs. The day was topped off with wine-and-cheese tasting featuring wineries and artisan cheese makers in Washington State.
