Proposed Ballot Measures
When the Commission makes a policy decision to send an issue to the ballot, the commission's attorney drafts ballot proposition(s) and shows proposed changes to the charter. The Commission reviews and debates these draft measures. The Commission can make changes, reject, and/or accept and vote one final time to send the issue to the voters. This section will contain the draft measures. Final Ballot Measures will contain the ballot measures in their final form to be transmitted to the County Council.
First Draft Ballot Measures. This draft includes changes to the Charter that deal with biennial budgeting, Executive veto power, an independent salary commission, transparency in government and Interlocal Agreements.
