General Description of Board Duties:

S.C.C. 2.32.100 created the Fair Advisory Board to advise, consult, and assist the Fairgrounds Manager in recommending to the Parks and Recreation Director, actions on: Fair events, Fair Budget, Fair Fees and other necessary matters.   The Board is made up of eleven members.   Five members are appointed by the council districts and the six remaining members are at-large.   Considerable work is done at the committee level with these meetings held regularly.   Attendance and participation during the annual Fair is important.   The Fair is held for 12 days annually, and concludes on Labor Day.   Board members serve four-year terms.  

Qualifications and Restrictions:

Three Vacancies:

1)  At-large position - expires 12/31/15

2)  At-large position - fulfill unexpired term - expires 12/31/13

3)  Position representing Council District #1 - expires 12/31/15
